Lithium Ion batteries are now a part of everyday life however, can be extremely volatile and unpredictable.Sometimes the battery casing can be damaged or be of poor quality. This releases gases from within which expand and release. The battery has its own ignition source which ignites the gases. The burning battery produces its own oxygen which supports the fire. This is Thermal Runaway, it's very difficult to extinguish and produces toxic fumes at this stage.Certain extinguishers will only worsen the situation and spread the fire.Want to know how to deal with this kind of issue in the workplace?email us info@tlct.co.uk ...
